 FAQs:

How does the Bug Bite Thing® work? Bug Bite Thing® is a suction tool that removes insect saliva/venom from bug bites and stings. By removing the irritant, the body stops producing the reaction that causes the uncomfortable symptoms such as itching, swelling and pain.

What types of bites & stings does it work on?Mosquitoes, Bees, Wasps, Ants, & other biting insects that leave an irritant just below the surface of the skin. It also works great at removing splinters, thorns and bee stingers. If you are having a severe reaction, seek medical attention immediately.

How quickly do I have to use the Bug Bite Thing® after a bite or sting?
Best results are achieved when used as close to the “noticed” bite as possible. The longer the irritant stays in the body, the more time your body has a chance to react to it. That is why we always recommend keeping one handy – in your purse, glovebox, nightstand etc.

Where does the venom/saliva go once it is removed?
The venom/saliva is drawn into the removable end cap portion of the tool, which can be taken off and washed/sanitized between uses.

How many uses can you get out of Bug Bite Thing®?
Bug Bite Thing® is 100% reusable and never expires! We do recommend cleaning the removable cap with soapy water or an alcohol wipe between uses. Avoid getting the pump portion wet to prevent the tool from losing its suction ability.

Can Bug Bite Thing® help pull out a bee stinger?
Yes! The handles are specially designed to scrape out a bee stinger left in the skin. Never try to pull the stinger out because you might push more venom into the skin. Simply flick the stinger off with the scraper and immediately use the suction to draw out the irritant.
